A Search Renewed

Back in April of this year, a very close friend of mine who, a friend who has been there for me through this entire ordeal. The idea was that, because of the internet and how it connects everyone, hopefully someone out there, anyone, had heard of Eve and knew something about what happened to her.

If anything, I needed closure. I needed to know, for better or worse, what had happened to my daughter.

Through this, I've talked to many people who have also gone through loss. Talking to them has been fulfilling in more ways than one and I thank any of you who have shared your story with me.

After a few months went by without any comments, emails, or discoveries, I regret to admit that I gave up hope.

And then, the emails started coming. Out of the blue, they arrived in my inbox, one by one. First, someone who simply called themselves "A." Then, someone named Joshua. Then Ross and Damian. And then more.

All of them had something to tell me.

An image of a newspaper, one that was written about me starting this blog to renew the search. All of them said they had received it from a strange email they had never heard from before.

I had never heard of or from this email either. After asking some questions, I found that everyone who had contacted me are in some sort of investigative group. I don't know much about them, but after a few days of thinking, I realized they were trying to help me.

The company, Veil Nanoscience, is from San Francisco. Their recent project is some sort of memory implant testing. I don't know much about it, but I applied for some more information at the company website.

The next day, the investigative group told me that a hidden image had been found inside of the newspaper image. It was a list of names. Eve was listed.

I started receiving the dataserver3 emails as well. A quick scan of the images I posted below will explain what I've learned so far, but right now, the dots aren't quite connecting. The images all have numbers, and it doesn't seem like anyone knows what they mean yet.

This is another plea for anyone with information regarding Veil Nanoscience or my daughter to please contact me.

This is not something I was expecting to see, at all. But then again, none of this is. This looks to be some sort of briefing or assignment. It's recipient is some sort of CIA special division that call themselves "Acephali." Veil Nanoscience is listed as a defense contractor.

Frankenstein: Chapter 22

This pretty much confirms that whoever is sending these is going backwards through the book. Are they trying to tell us that this is the end of their story, and that the beginning hasn't been told yet?

I had unchained an enemy among them whose joy it was to shed their blood and to revel in their groans. How they would, each and all, abhor me and hunt me from the world did they know my unhallowed acts and the crimes which had their source in me!

Frankenstein: Chapter 23

Another Frankenstein quote, this one from Chapter 23. Again, moving in reverse.

It is indeed a tale so strange that I should fear you would not credit it were there not something in truth which, however wonderful, forces conviction. The story is too connected to be mistaken for a dream, and I have no motive for falsehood.

The Numbers

So far, I've received three pictures with file names being a number, followed by a period, followed by another number.

I've also received quotations from the book Frankenstein, both coming from the end of the book, from Chapter 24.

Today, I received a bible quotation from Ecclesiastes 10:5, but at this point, I'm entirely sure if it relates to the other numbers.

The biggest question I have is how these relate to Eve.

First, quotes from Frankenstein. Now, a bible verse. Whoever is behind the dataserver3 address sent me this today.

There is an evil I have seen under the sun, the sort of error that arises from a ruler.

Another email from dataserver3 last night. Looks like Cory Wester is the contact at Veil who decided to give his name through some sort of hidden puzzle inside some Veil recruitment materials.

Mail

In the mail today, I received the information from Veil Nanoscience. Oddly enough, others had mentioned a letter from Alec Veil as well as a packet, but that was missing. I think I know why, but I don't think I have all of the information needed to make that judgement.

It was sent in this black envelope. Inside, was a brochure that detailed the background of the company.

Frankenstein: Chapter 24, Part II

Another passage from Frankenstein, this one from Chapter 24, Part II. It looks like we're going backwards through the book.

I believed myself destined for some great enterprise. My feelings are profound; but I possessed a coolness of judgment that fitted me for illustrious achievements. This sentiment of the worth of my nature supported me when others would have been oppressed; for I deemed it criminal to throw away in useless grief those talents that might be useful to my fellow-creatures. When I reflected on the work I had completed, no less a one than the creation of a sensitive and rational animal, could not rank myself with the herd of common projectors. But this thought, which supported me in the commencement of my career, now serves only to plunge me lower in the dust. All my speculations and hopes are as nothing; and, like the archangel who aspired to omnipotence, I am chained in an eternal hell.

Another new email from dataserver3@veilnanoscience.com, but this time, I got the email as well since I signed up for Project Mnemosyne.

This specifically mentions Ward Five, which was also mentioned briefly in the hidden note. I don't know who #002 is, but the thought of them not using the girls real names is extremely disturbing.

Based on the list, if the names are in order, Cassandra is #002 and Eve would be #004.

The question remains though, who is sending me these files?

Frankenstein: Chapter 24, Part III

Another strange email from dataserver3@veilnanoscience.com, but this time, it doesn't look like my daughter is involved.

When I run over the frightful catalogue of my sins, I cannot believe that I am the same creature whose thoughts were once filled with sublime and transcendent visions of the beauty and the majesty of goodness. But it is even so; the fallen angel becomes a malignant devil. Yet even that enemy of God and man had friends and associates in his desolation; I am alone.

Speechless

There are no words to describe the thoughts going through my head right now. There's a clear connection between Veil Nanoscience and my daughter Eve that was just revealed to me.

I can make out "...subjects in ward five." "office." "Hope you had a nice..."

The names...the only one I know is Eve's. And the post-it note? Someone was looking for her. Maybe someone knew she wasn't supposed to be there.

I don't know what to think. I feel numb.

Veil Nanoscience

With a few days to think about what happened with the strange email, I feel stronger than I ever have that something will come of this.

It's extremely, extremely strange. I still have no idea what's going on. After looking into the website, I read up on a new project they are working on, Project Mnemosyne. They're asking for research subjects, something to do with a memory implant.

I have absolutely zero desire to actually partake in such a project, but I signed up to receive more information and hopefully, get some sort of contact within the organization.

A Strange E-Mail

Today, I received word that multiple people had gotten an e-mail from the address:

Apparently, Veil Nanoscience is a company that actually operates pretty close by. I have never heard of them before today. I have no idea what they do.

The email contained a .bmp image file of what looks to be a photograph of the San Jose Inquirer from April 14th of this year.

About two weeks prior to that, I had contacted the paper. A week later, a reporter was at my house asking me questions about Eve and the blog I had wanted to start to continue the search for her.

That article was in the April 14th issue. I, of course, have read the article when the paper originally went out. But now, people I am  not aware of are receiving a picture of that article from other people I am not aware of.

Am I going crazy, or can someone explain this to me?
