Response

Hope everyone is doing well.

I am extremely thankful for everyone's response. I've received quite a few emails over the last week in support of my search and I appreciate you taking the time to e-mail me rather than publicly comment on the blog, however, please feel free to comment as well!

I haven't gotten any leads or tips in regards to my daughter but the support is inspiring me to keep this going.

Eve

I'm posting a picture of Eve so you can see what she looks like. She's short, barely 5'0 and has brown hair and blue eyes. This is her senior picture.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog. I'm new at this, so please be kind.

Let me start with some information about myself, and then I'll get into what I'm here for.

My name is William Thomas Randall, but you can call me Bill. I am an electrician here in the Bay Area. I'm 48 years old. I'm a single father with three children. I enjoy gardening with my youngest daughter, Emily. Here is a picture of our indoor tabletop garden..

Sunflowers and Forget Me Not's

On February 18, 2008, my oldest daughter, Eve, who was 17 at the time, never came home from school. She was a senior, and of course, my wife (at the time, we are now divorced) assumed she was hanging out at a friends house. She had a tendency to "forget" to call home every once in a while. So, that day, we of course thought it was like any other day.

We were wrong.

She never came home. By 6 or 7 PM we were worried sick. We called all of her friends, their parents, the school...no one had seen her since school ended. One of them mentioned that he saw her in the parking lot, and a day or two later other students came forward and said they saw her driving out of the school parking lot, but that was it.

Months went by. Nothing. We exhausted every option we could think of. The police tried their best. I'm not the type to blame them for not finding her. We had an amazing detective working with us who was on the case for as long as he could be. He never came up with anything.

It was like she vanished into thin air. They never found her car either.

That was just over three years ago. As a family, we've done our best to move on. Her disappearance took its toll on my marriage, but we remain civil. It's been too hard.

After giving up hope, life has gone on without me. It's like I'm stuck in quicksand. As much as I, and I'm sure my entire family, pretend...we're not okay.

So on the advice of a very close friend, I'm starting this blog. The internet is a big place, and maybe, somewhere out there, someone knows something. If not, maybe this is a place I can mourn, hope, and connect with others who are going through the same thing.

My email address is bthomasrandall@gmail.com

If you know anything...ANYTHING...please don't hesitate to contact me.

Take care, God bless.
